1. Overview
Nashville Best Tattoo ("we," "us," "our," or the "Site") operates nashvillebesttattoo.com as a directory and matching service that connects people looking for tattoo work with independent tattoo artists and studios in the Nashville, Tennessee area.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our Site, how we use it, and · most importantly · how and why we share it with the tattoo artists we match you with. By submitting a form on this Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
When you fill out a form on this Site asking to be matched with a tattoo artist, we collect the information you provide and pass it directly to one or more independent artists or studios we believe fit your request. We are a referral service, not the tattoo artist or studio itself, and we do not control what those independent businesses do with your information once we share it.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide when you submit a form on this Site, including but not limited to:
- Contact information: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Project details: the tattoo size, body placement, style preferences, and any additional notes you choose to share.
- Technical information: automatically collected data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, gathered through standard analytics tools described in Section 5.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health records) through our forms, and we ask that you not include such information in any free-text field.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you submit to:
- Match you with one or more tattoo artists or studios in the Nashville area whose style, specialty, and location fit what you described.
- Share your contact and project details directly with the artist(s) or studio(s) we select on your behalf, so they can follow up with you.
- Improve and maintain the Site, including understanding which pages and content are useful to visitors.
- Communicate with you about your request, if needed, before or during the matching process.
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes, and we do not use your information for any purpose beyond matching you with an artist and improving our Site.
4. How We Share Your Information With Tattoo Artists
This is the core of what our Site does, so we want to be as clear as possible about it.
When you submit a form requesting to be matched with a tattoo artist, we select one or more independent artists or studios based on your stated location and style preference, and we forward your name, contact information, and project details directly to them. This is the entire purpose of the Site, and by submitting a form, you are consenting to this specific sharing of your information.
The artists and studios we work with are independent businesses. They are not our employees, contractors, or agents, and we do not supervise, control, or review how they store, use, or further share the information we send them once it is in their hands. Each artist or studio has its own business practices, and we encourage you to ask any artist who contacts you how they handle your information if you have concerns.
We do not currently share your information with data brokers, advertisers, or other third parties outside of the tattoo artist matching process described above, beyond the service providers described in Section 5.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Site. Each has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review:
- Formspree · processes and delivers form submissions from this Site. Formspree may temporarily store submitted data in the course of delivering it to us.
- Google Analytics (GA4) · collects anonymized and aggregated usage data to help us understand how visitors use the Site.
- Microsoft Clarity · records anonymized session activity such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse movement, and generates heatmaps, to help us understand how visitors interact with specific pages. Clarity is configured to mask sensitive input fields where technically supported, but you should avoid entering sensitive information into any free-text field regardless.
- Google Ads · used for conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
- Google Search Console · provides aggregated data about how the Site appears in Google Search results.
These providers may collect information independently under their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices beyond configuring how their tools are used on our Site.
6. Phone Calls, Texts & TCPA Consent
If you provide a phone number, you consent to being contacted by phone or text message by the artist(s) or studio(s) we match you with, for the purpose of discussing your tattoo request. We do not make automated marketing calls or send bulk marketing text messages to leads ourselves.
Because the artists and studios we refer you to are independent businesses, their own phone and text communications with you are governed by their own practices and their own obligations under applicable law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) where it applies. If you wish to stop receiving calls or texts from a specific artist or studio, please contact that business directly. If you believe an artist or studio we referred you to has contacted you in a way that violates applicable law, please also let us know using the contact information in Section 14, so we can review our relationship with that business.
7. Cookies & Tracking
This Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Ads to understand Site usage, record anonymized on-page behavior such as scrolling and clicks, and measure advertising performance. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the Site function but will not prevent you from submitting a matching request.
8. Data Retention
We retain the information submitted through our forms for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the matching process and to maintain records of our referral activity, generally not exceeding 24 months from the date of submission, unless a longer retention period is required for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may request earlier deletion of your information as described in Section 9.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which can include the right to:
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information from our own records (this does not retroactively delete information already shared with an artist or studio prior to your request).
- Opt out of future contact from us regarding your submission.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 14. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
California residents: Depending on the volume of information we process, you may have additional rights under California law, including the right to request that we not sell or share your personal information and to opt out of certain automated advertising uses. Because the artist-matching described in Section 4 occurs at your direct request as the core service of this Site, we do not consider it a "sale" of your information for independent third-party marketing purposes. If you have questions about how California law applies to your submission, contact us using the information in Section 14.
10. Third-Party Conduct & Limitation of Liability
Nashville Best Tattoo acts solely as a referral and matching service. We do not initiate contact with individuals who submit a form beyond the matching process itself, and we are not responsible for the actions, communications, or conduct of any independent tattoo artist or studio after we share your information with them, including but not limited to the frequency, content, or method of any follow-up contact they make.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nashville Best Tattoo disclaims liability for any harm, inconvenience, or loss arising from a third-party artist's or studio's use of information we shared with them, including unwanted or excessive contact. This disclaimer is a statement of our position and does not itself override any independent legal obligation that may apply to us under applicable law; if you believe you have a legal claim related to how your information was used, we recommend consulting an attorney regarding your specific situation.
11. Children's Privacy
This Site and the services it facilitates are intended for adults. Tattooing is for adults 18 and older, consistent with Tennessee law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
12. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information submitted through our Site, including transmitting form data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any information you submit.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
14. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise any of the rights described in Section 9, or want to report a concern about a third-party artist's or studio's conduct, please reach out via the contact form on our homepage.
